Bad News (turned to be good at all)

I am very sorry to announce that today(18.10.2011) I've changed my internet connection on which I can't use static IP Address. This means that I can't host lfs servers anymore because my IP address is changing every time I connect to the internet. I will try to deal with my provider to give me a static IP address and fix this problem as fast as I can. Thanks for your understanding.


Temporary solution: I will write the new IP address in LFS servers configuration files on every connect to the internet, so don't get mad if the servers will not work sometimes because I am not home all day and I may not notice a PC restart when the power will went off (it happends once in a while).


Testing: I've managed to force the PPPoE connection to dial for an IP address multiple times till my provider's server approves me to use that IP. So all servers should work now just fine and automatically start on every PC restart without any problems.

    (SPAIN) Hi, I would like to know how to Create Server "tweak" would only be "ON" (1-3 hours per day, roughly). Running would not be 24hours.

    You always can use a free Dynamic DNS hosting like no-ip or dyndns.org, there are programs what update the IP to that service every time you connect if you use a USB modem and most routers have their own dyndns configuration options... You just choose a name to your server and no longer need to know the IP or share it.

    its ok man dont worry use www.no-ip.com and then make and account then create a host then it will be your static ip !! see its that easy

    of course you can use no-ip it just changes your ip to a dns host like example.no-ip.biz so its ok use it !!!
